Even when ambient temperature drops, the fan keeps running at maximum speed, creating massive energy loss. Many generic inverters require extra PLC modules and temperature transmitters to realize temperature-linked speed adjustment, raising project cost and complexity. Worse still, without dedicated low-temperature logic, fans may over-run in cold seasons, or freeze damage can occur to pipelines and equipment. Without temperature line fault detection, broken or shorted sensor cables can lead to uncontrolled fan operation and safety hazards on site.

Two operation modes are available for flexible site operation:

• Manual Mode: Adjust fan speed via the potentiometer on the control panel. It’s simple for quick commissioning or fixed-speed ventilation requirements.
• Auto Mode: The controller automatically adjusts fan speed according to the difference between set target temperature and real ambient temperature, together with wind speed change rate parameters. This native temperature closed-loop control removes the need for external PLC for basic temperature regulation tasks.

Three low-temperature working modes are built-in to adapt to different climate conditions:

• Low-temperature low speed: When ambient temperature is lower than target temperature, the fan runs continuously at 22Hz to maintain basic air circulation.
• Low-temperature cycle mode: Activates when ambient temperature is 1°C below the target value. The fan alternates between running at 22Hz and stopping, following your preset cycle time. It exits this cycle once temperature rises 1°C above the target. Cycle time can be set from 1 to 60 minutes.
• Low-temperature shutdown mode: When ambient temperature falls 1°C or more below target temperature, the controller enters standby mode to save energy. The running indicator flashes to show this state.

This fan speed VFD uses 10K/25℃ NTC thermistor shielded cable for temperature collection. It supports temperature cable short-circuit diagnosis. If the temperature sensing wire short-circuits, the drive will trigger E055 fault alarm after a 5-second confirmation delay to protect the whole ventilation system. Key adjustable parameters:

• Target temperature: 0℃ ~ 50℃, factory default 27℃
• Wind speed change rate: 1~15, factory default 10
• The keypad supports parameter locking, unlocking and factory reset by long pressing keys, preventing accidental parameter modification on site.
